No deaths reported, but police have evacuated site

HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Solomon Star, Jan. 4, 2013) – Angry landowners in the Solomon Islands burnt down machines of Glen Grove company at Katova, Isabel province, on Monday.
The incident happened on two separate logging camps of the company.
A Patrol boat had to travel from Honiara to evacuate the people because of the escalation of the dispute.
Police Media in Honiara said there were no deaths reported but people have moved out from the area.
"Police had not made any arrests at the moment. Police are still doing the evacuation and once it is done then arrests of those involved should start," the Police Media said.
The motive behind the dispute is still unknown.
Meanwhile, in Honiara, Auki, Malaita Province, Gizo, Western Province and Tulagi, Central Islands, all experienced a peaceful New Year despite minor crimes being committed.
