Garrido fled DOC van while being transported to court

TÃA, Guam (Pacific Daily News, Nov. 5, 2013) – The man accused of beating a woman to death in her Barrigada, Guam, home in 2012 was caught yesterday morning, more than an hour after he allegedly escaped from a Department of Corrections (DOC) transport van.
Police also found a woman in the area where the suspect was apprehended. The suspect allegedly entered the woman's home to steal a car and assaulted her while at the residence, according to Officer A.J. Balajadia, Guam Police Department (GPD) spokesman.
The woman is currently at Guam Memorial Hospital's intensive care unit as a result of her injuries.
Keith Garrido, 20, was caught within a couple of hours of escaping while being transported to the Superior Court of Guam yesterday morning, according to authorities.
