UNITED AND WANT TO SEND GREETINGS
THROUGH NEW STAMP SERIES: UNDERWOOD
On the heels of the unveiling of the U.S. Postal Service's new "United We Stand" and "Greetings from America" stamp series, Congressman Robert A. Underwood today expressed disappointment that the insular territories and the District of Columbia were again left out.
"We are included by implication in the 'United We Stand' stamp, since the flag flies over the District of Columbia and the insular areas, but at this point the 50-stamp 'Greetings from America' panel excludes D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas," the Congressman said from his District Office in Hagåtña. "And this is most disturbing, because we too would like to offer our greetings."
