PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (PNG Post-Courier, Mar. 1) - Nabak villagers are questioning the presence of American soldiers, accompanied by staff of the National Museum, in their area.
According to the villagers there are seven American soldiers who are camping at Sakalan village, from where they are launching their activities, which include cutting down bushes and digging the ground.

An officer from the PNG Defence Force and a staff from the National Museum are accompanying the Americans.
Community leaders from neighboring villages of Awen, Quamben, and Kistuen, all within the Nabak local level government area of the Nawae electorate said they have not been informed of the purpose of the trip to their area by the Americans.
