TINIAN CASINO REVENUES, $4.9 MILLION, MOSTLY SPENT
SAIPAN, CNMI (Marianas Variety, Jan. 2) – The Tinian municipal government received a total of $4.9 million in casino revenues in fiscal year 2006, from Oct. 2005 to Sept. 2006.
Documents obtained by the Variety show that of this figure, $4.5 million has already been spent.
Total personnel expenditures amounted to $3.3 million.
The Tinian mayor’s office paid $871,413 for its workforce; the municipal treasury, $298,731; the Tinian Youth Center, $267,538; and the Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission spent $1.8 million for administration and operations.
In the "all others" category: the mayor’s office spent $259,500; the municipal treasury, $31,500; TGCC, $274,600; the youth center, $14,350; and the mayor’s public programs, $1.3 million.
