Another suspect being questioned, not charged

APIA, Samoa (Samoa Observer, March 31, 2009) — Two more suspects have been detained in the body-in-the-boot killing, Assistant Police Commissioner, Papali’i Li’o Ta’eu Masipa’u confirmed yesterday.
Papali’i said a 25-year-old from the village of Tuvao, Satapuala and a 26-year-old from Le’auva’a were in custody, charged with murder.
They will appear in the Supreme Court on June 8.
A third suspect is still being investigated but Papali’i said they don’t have enough evidence to charge this person.
The Assistant Commissioner said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the body found in t
he boot of a taxi last Saturday.
"We are in the process of completing the investigation," he said.
The deceased, 54 or 55, of Leulumoega-tuai and Moamoa was killed last Saturday while at work driving a taxi.
