AMERICAN SAMOA GOVERNOR CAN'T MAKE HAWAII FLAG DAY FESTIVAL

PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (July 24, 1997 - Samoa News)---American Samoa Governor Tauese Sunia will not be able to be the keynote speaker at Hawaii's Samoa Flag Day Festival next month, as originally planned.

Instead, he will remain in the territory to preside at the opening of the South-Pacific Mini-Games on Monday, August 11.

Replacing the Governor at the Hawaii festival, which begins Saturday, August 9, will be Secretary of Samoan Affairs Sotoa Savali.
