CHINESE NATIONALS PLEAD GUILTY IN FIJI

SUVA, Fiji (August 12, 1997 - PACNEWS)---Three Chinese nationals arrested last week in Fiji for involvement in a credit card scam have pleaded guilty to all charges brought against them.

The three were charged in Suva with forging documents and illegally obtaining goods.

The trio will remain in custody until Friday, when their case will be heard by Chief Magistrate Sekove Naqiolevu.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Armogam Reddy said police are continuing to investigate the credit card matter, indicating that two more people believed to be Australians of Chinese ethnicity also may be involved in the scam.
