APIA, Samoa (August 24, 1997 - PACNEWS)---New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jim Bolger, will be bestowed with a chiefly title when he visits Samoa later this week.

The title will be awarded by the chief and people of Falelatai village on the main island of Upolu.

Falelatai member of Parliament, Misa Telefoni Retslaff, said the "Nanai" title was a reward to Bolger and his National Party for making the election of Anae Arthur Anae to New Zealand's Parliament possible.

Anae is a chief from Falelatai.
