IRIAN JAYA - PAPUA NEW GUINEA BUS SERVICE PLANNED

PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (September 11, 1997 - PACNEWS)---An Irian Jayan businessman plans to operate a bus service between the Irian Jayan capital, Jayapura, and Vanimo in Papua New Guinea's West Sepik Province.

According to the Indonesian Newsletter, published by the Indonesian Embassy in Port Moresby, Nurdin Faisal is interested in operating 20 buses on the route as part of efforts to boost economic ties between Irian Jaya and PNG.

Faisal is Director of Dara Abadi Irja, a private company which operates a fleet of 62 buses and taxis.
