TARAWA CENTER GRADUATES 23 MORE FISHERMEN

TARAWA, Kiribati (November 3, 1997 - PACNEWS)---Twenty-three more young men have just graduated from the Kiribati Fisheries Training Center on Tarawa.

Principal Kamaua Bareua says the Center's thirteenth course on long line, pole and line-fishing techniques ran a total of nine months.

He says the young graduates will be employed on Japanese fishing vessels through arrangements made by the Japan Tuna Fisheries Cooperative Association.

Other recent graduates of the Center are employed on German boats.
