ELEVEN KIRIBATI COMPANIES INTERESTED IN TAIWAN

TRADE VISIT

TARAWA, Kiribati (November 4, 1997 - PACNEWS)---Eleven Kiribati companies have indicated they want to participate in the South Pacific Forum's trade visit to Taiwan scheduled for the end of this month.

Deputy Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Tourism Mweia Tebubua says most of the companies are government-owned.

Tebubua says the trade mission representatives will travel to the capital of Taipei and other Taiwan areas to meet potential importers of Kiribati exports, including a variety of marine products and handicrafts.
