PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (January 4, 1998 - Radio Australia)--- Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Bill Skate has invited the leaders of the five opposition parties in the PNG Parliament to accompany him to the next round of Bougainville peace negotiations.

Scheduled for January 15 - 23, the peace talks will be held at Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Skate and his delegation are expected to depart Port Moresby for New Zealand on January 17.

The Prime Minister says he hopes that the five leaders will accept his invitation, saying that their presence in New Zealand will help further the Bougainville peace process.
