PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (January 15, 1998 - PACNEWS)---Papua New Guinea's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Michael Nali, Wednesday opened a mushroom project in the Eastern Highlands province.

Papua New Guinea’s National Broadcasting Corporation reports the 3.6 million kina ($US 2 million) Zoun-Cao Mushroom Project on Lufa has export potential.

The project is jointly funded by the Chinese and Eastern Highlands provincial governments.

Nali says the project is a practical demonstration of commitment and determination by the Lufa people who have worked hard with the provincial government to get the mushroom venture off the ground.
