SUVA, FIJI (February 5, 1998 - Radio Australia)---The Fijian Association Party has called for establishment of an Independent Judicial Commission on Corruption.

Party Leader Josevata Kamikamica has written to most Fijian political parties seeking their support for the proposal.

In his letter, Mr. Kamikamica highlights the many corruption allegations being discussed within both Fiji's public and private sectors.

He says the Fijian Association Party believes appointment of an independent judicial commission to deal with the allegations is warranted and will act as a deterrent against growing white collar crime.
