HONIARA, Solomon Islands (February 25, 1998 - PACNEWS)---Former Solomon Islands Prime Minister Solomon Mamaloni has been given 14 days to vacate the Prime Minister's residence commonly known as "Red House" at Vavaya Ridge in Honiara.

An official government notice was sent to Mamaloni last week.

Mamaloni has refused to move out of the home since losing the Prime Minister's position to Bartholomew Ulufa'alu following last August's general elections.

Among other things, the notice says Mamaloni, under Entitlements Act regulations, is not entitled to government housing as Leader of the Independent Group in Parliament.
