PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (March 4, 1998 - Samoa News)---Samoa's Polynesian Airlines plans to offer three flights a week soon between Maota International Airport on the Big Island of Savaii, Samoa and Tafuna International Airport, American Samoa, Polynesian station manager Vaitoa Hans Langkilde told the Samoa News yesterday.

Samoa Air, which began direct flights to Savaii last April, currently offers four flights to Maota each week, at a cost of $US 120 round-trip.

Polynesian's planned flights will operate on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

"Our research indicates that these are the days of the week when there is a demand," Vaitoa said.

A start-up date for the new service is expected to be announced shortly.
