SUVA, Fiji (April 14, 1998 - Radio Australia)---Fiji's Police Commissioner Isikia Savua is backing a plan to form a local branch of Transparency International, a non-profit organization with the purpose of fighting corruption at the national and international levels.

The proposed Fiji branch is being supported by the United Nations Development Program and Suva businessman Ikbal Jannif.
