ROYAL SCHOOL OF SCIENCE OPENED BY TONGA'S KING

NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga (May 10, 1998 - Radio Tonga)---The King of Tonga, Taufa'ahau Tupou IV, opened the new Royal School of Science for Distance Education recently, during dedication ceremonies in the capital, Nuku'alofa.

The project will provide training opportunities for both civil servants and private sector participants through use of the Internet, Radio Tonga reports.

A variety of courses, funded by a grant from Taiwan, range from certificate to post graduate levels.
