LATE TONGAN QUEEN SALOTE’S BIOGRAPHY TO BE PUBLISHED

NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga (July 6, 1998 - PACNEWS)---The first biography of Tonga's late majesty, Queen Salote Tupou III, is scheduled for publication in October.

In the biography, which focuses on the subject of successful leadership, Queen Salote writes about the time of her reign, from 1918 to 1965, and her childhood, Radio Tonga reports.

The author is Dr. Elizabeth Wood-Ellem, the daughter of the late Wesleyan missionary, Dr. Alfred Harold Wood, who was principal of Tonga's Tupou College from 1924 to 1937.

Dr. Ellem, who is also the manager of a collection of Queen Salote's musical compositions, collected over 400 pictures, of which more than 100 are being used in the 500-page biography.
