PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (July 11, 1998 - PACNEWS/Tuqiri)--- Drawn-out delays waiting for luggage are a thing of the past, now that a larger and swifter conveyor belt has been installed at American Samoa’s Pago Pago International Airport.

An airport spokesman said the equipment will reduce travelers' waiting time by half. "It should take care of the popular complaint that passengers have to wait a long time for their luggage," he noted.

It took a New Zealand-based crew two weeks to install the conveyor belt, which cost $US 130,000.
