ENIWETOK FOOD PROGRAM EXTENDED FIVE YEARS

HONOLULU, Hawaii (July 30, 1998 - PIDP/CPIS/Hulsen)---The U. S. Government has approved an extension of the Eniwetok (Marshall Islands) Food and Agricultural Program for another five years.

The food program assists the residents of Eniwetok and Bikini atolls who were displaced by United States nuclear tests in the Marshall Islands during the 1950s.

The extension of the program was signed into law today by U.S. President Bill Clinton.
