FIJI OPPOSITION LEADER KAMIKAMICA SUFFERS STROKE

SUVA, Fiji (August 10, 1998 - Radio Australia)---The leader of the opposition Fijian Association Party, Josefa Kamikamica, has suffered a stroke.

Kamikamica was admitted to the hospital where family members say he is recovering and in stable condition.

The opposition leader recently was involved in negotiations to form a coalition with the Fiji Labour Party and the Party of National Unity.
