PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (August 20, 1998 - PACNEWS)---American Samoa's Congressman in Washington, Eni Faleomavaega, has officially announced plans to run for re-election to the United States House of Representatives in the November general elections.

The Congressman announced his intention in a radio announcement yesterday.

Faleomavaega said he would like to continue to serve the people of American Samoa and represent their interests in the nation's capital.

Now serving his fifth term as American Samoa's non-voting Congressional delegate, Faleomavaega is the first candidate to announce his candidacy for the congressional seat.
