PALIKIR, Federated States of Micronesia (August 26, 1998 - PACNEWS)--- Fiji's Foreign Minister, Berenado Vunibobo, has expressed his concern that this year's South Pacific Forum leaders' summit discussed issues related to trade but did not consider the vital issue of shipping.

Vunibobo said it is unwise for anyone to talk about trade issues when shipping services between the islands have not improved.

Vunibobo questioned how the leaders expect a flow of goods to take place from one island nation to another when there is no reliable shipping service.
