AIR PACIFIC DISPUTE OVER CABIN CREW PAY RESOLVED

SUVA, Fiji Islands (September 8, 1998 - PACNEWS)---The long-running dispute between Fiji's international airline, Air Pacific, and the Fiji Aviation Workers Association (FAWA) over flight attendants' working conditions has been resolved.

FAWA leader Attar Singh said the newly-signed agreement provides for an increase in pay for 200 cabin crew members.

Singh also indicated that Air Pacific's management has given guarantees that there will be no further reductions in employee numbers.
