SOLOMONS SCHOOLS CLOSE DUE TO POLITICAL INSTABILITY

HONIARA, Solomon Islands---Political instability --as the capital awaits the outcome of a planned no confidence vote in the government of Prime Minister Bartholomew Ulufa'alu this week-- has forced the closing of most area schools.

Parents blame the 49-member Parliament for creating the tense situation.

Honiara education officer James Delemani said students will return to class once the parliamentary political crisis is resolved.
