SUVA, Fiji Islands (September 16, 1998 - PACNEWS/Amy)---Fiji's Constituency Boundaries Commission has identified several problems with the newly developed outline of national election districts.

Officials said the issues must be resolved before next year's general election to ensure an accurate geographical and population distribution within districts.

Commission leader and Suva lawyer Barrie Sweetman said the listing of urban and suburban areas remain confusing.

Lists were prepared by the Fijian Affairs Board, the Native Lands Commission and the Bureau of Statistics. Each agency apparently had a different listing, including the incorrect placement of some villages.
