MORE POLITICAL CHANGES POSSIBLE IN VANUATU

PORT VILA, Vanuatu (November 3, 1998 - Radio Australia)---In Vanuatu a motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Donald Kalpokas has been submitted to Parliament.

From Port Vila Radio Australia correspondent Jemima Garrett reports that the motion has been signed by a majority of the MP's: "The move to unseat Prime Minister Kalpokas has been led by former Deputy Prime Minister and National United Party President Father Walter Lini, who was ejected from the ruling coalition two week's ago in a surprise cabinet reshuffle.

"Twenty six M-P's, a slim majority has signed the no-confidence motion.

"Father Lini says the speaker has been asked to convene an extraordinary session of Parliament to debate the issue next Monday.

"Jemima Garrett, Port Vila."
