PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (January 25, 1999 - Samoa News)---More than US$ 7,000 in green fees collected under the private management of the Ili‘ili Golf Course have been deposited in the government's general fund, according to sources close to the management.

The new, already successful management contract for the golf course started on January 1. From then until January 14, green fees collected and deposited in the American Samoa Government (ASG) general fund account totaled US$ 7,249. In the past, US$ 7,000 was the average taken in during a full month.

Well known golfer Fuga Tolani Teleso was contracted last month by ASG to manage and make improvements to the government owned golf course at a salary of US$ 30,000 annually.
