PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (February 2, 1999 - Samoa News)--Planning for the further economic development of American Samoa is among the reasons for a visit by a Washington Congressional delegation scheduled to arrive in the Territory on February 13.

Heading the group will be U.S. Congressman Don Young (Republican-Alaska), the Chairman of the House Committee on Resources.

American Samoa's representative in Washington, Congressman Faleomavaega Eni, said the delegation will visit several U.S. and Freely Associated States Pacific Islands areas, but is making American Samoa its first stop.

The current schedule for the group calls for it to depart American Samoa February 16 and then head for the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).
