WELLINGTON, New Zealand (February 22, 1999 - Radio Australia)---The Vice-President of the Bougainville Interim Government (BIG), Joseph Kabui, is now in New Zealand for medical tests.

A spokesman for New Zealand's Foreign Minister Don McKinnon said Mr. Kabui flew to New Zealand on Friday in a New Zealand Airforce Hercules transport plane.

The spokesman said he was not authorized to disclose Mr. Kabui's illness or provide information about where the Vice President is being treated.
