PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (March 29, 1999 - Samoa News)---Samoans from Upolu, Savai‘i and other islands in independent Samoa no longer will be allowed to purchase land in American Samoa if a bill passed by legislators is signed by Governor Tauese Sunia.

The proposed law allows only full blooded Samoans from Tutuila, Manu'a (which includes Tau, Ofu and Olosega), Aunuu and Swains - the islands that make up American Samoa - to own land.
