SUVA, Fiji Islands (July 16, 1999 – Radio Australia)---The Fiji Islands will observe Daylight Savings Time for the second time, November through February.

Clocks were pushed ahead an hour for the first time last November.

Ministry of Labor officials said the time change during Fiji’s summer months boosts business productivity.

The tourism industry has welcomed the move, saying Daylight Savings Time is appreciated by tourists, who benefit from longer evenings of daylight.
