SECOND BANK BEGINS OPERATIONS IN NAURU

YAREN, Nauru (August 3, 1999 – Radio Australia)---A new bank, Central Pacific Bank, has opened for business in Nauru. It is the island nation’s second banking institution.

The bank, which employs a chief executive, two full-time staff and two part-timers, is located at the main airport.

A third bank, the Bank of International Royal Gold, will open its doors in Nauru later this month.
