PAPE‘ETE, French Polynesia (August 26, 1999 - PINA Nius Online)---French Polynesian President Gaston Flosse has reshuffled his cabinet, expanding the duties of three ministers, Flosse's press department said Wednesday.

The changes include Housing and Land Minister Jean-Christophe Bouissou being assigned the additional Town Matters portfolio.

Youth, Social Reinsertion and Sports Minister Reynald Temarii is now also Minister for Associations.

Culture and Higher Education Minister Louise Peltzer has been given the additional assignment of promoting Polynesian languages.

The French Polynesian government consists of 16 Ministers and a President.

The reshuffle, according to the government statement, is aimed at "harmonizing" procedures and activities within each ministry."
