FIJI OSTRICH INDUSTRY GETS F$ ONE MILLION

BA, Fiji Islands (April 5, 2000 – Fiji’s Daily Post)---Over F$1 million (US$ 486,000) will be invested in the ostrich industry by the end of this year in Ba.

According to the investor, Mohammed Feroz Khan, "The industry will be one of its kind in Fiji and will generate a lot of employment for Westerners (western Viti Levu)."

"This will lead to a better circulation of money, especially in Ba," said Mr. Khan.

Currently, the Fiji Sugar Corporation is the major employer in Ba as well as the country as a whole.
