ADB APPROVES LOAN TO SAMOA

APIA, Samoa (September 6, 2000 – Radio Australia)---The Asian Development Bank has approved a $7 million soft loan to Samoa.

The bank says the loan will help the Pacific island nation improve its education system and schools.

The loan component of the $10 million project is payable over 32 years.

It includes an eight-year grace period with interest of one percent annually.
