ALOFI, Niue (January 1, 20001 – Radio Australia)---An American medical school in Niue has been threatened with expulsion unless alleged infighting among administrators is brought to an end.

Niue Premier Sani Lakatani said he issued the directive to Lord Liverpool University officials now on the island.

He said more than 12 months after his government gave the medical school authority to lease the former Niue Hotel to establish the facility, the school owners are still absorbed in their ''in-fighting.''

Premier Lakatani said he wants to give the school administrators another last chance to "make up or ship-out," and he says there are already indications that his ultimatum appears to have worked.
