MEDICAL FLIGHTS BETWEEN HAWAI‘I AND MARSHALLS PLANNED

MAJURO, Marshall Islands (December 29, 2001 – Marshall Islands Journal)---Hawaii Air Ambulance, which currently serves 10 Hawai‘i airports, is working on an agreement to provide weekly medical air transportation for the Marshall Islands, American Samoa and Guam.

HAA, which has five Cessna 414A aircraft equipped as flying ambulances, said it has received international approval of its aviation, medical and other services from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems.

HAA chief executive officer Andrew Kluger said the accreditation process took two years.

The organization currently runs between 10 and 13 flights a day.
