APIA, Samoa (March 30, 2001 - Samoa Observer/PINA Nius Online)---From new flight attendant uniforms and a revamped website to a whole new menu, Polynesian Airlines has launched a new "corporate image." Included is the introduction of online booking provided by locally based computer experts iPasefika.

iPasefika owner Aitken Fruen and Technical Manager Kunta Kruse demonstrated the ease of using the website and showed special touches of "Pacific imagery" iPasefika installed within the site.

iPasefika, being a local business, won the bid for the website over New Zealand and Australian Internet companies. The new service will be available to customers within the next week.

The stylish new presentation of in-flight meals was shown off by the recently recruited chef of Apia's Aggie Grey's Hotel, Adolf Volkmann, who said: "We are trying to incorporate more use of local fresh produce and traditional Samoan foods."

Polynesian’s new menu also incorporates the use of fresh seafood – when available -- in support of Samoa’s local economy.

For Polynesian's Sunday flights they have the "toona‘i menu" which includes palusami (coconut cream baked in taro leaves), taro and breadfruit.

Aggie Grey’s Hotel provides in-flight catering for the flights from Samoa.

Pacific Ads’ Advertising, Apia, won the bid for the revamped in-flight magazine titled Polynesia. Fifteen thousand copies were printed in Auckland.

Representative John Houston was on hand and proudly exhibited his company's handiwork with a new 48-page spread.
