Micronesian
Seminar Forum Discussion Topic #9

June, 2001

Jobs are scarce. The development of private enterprise has been disappointing so far. Fishing and tourism have not developed as quickly as everyone had hoped, and so new jobs have not opened in any great numbers. What can be done about the scarcity of jobs? Should the Micronesian governments encourage high school and college graduates to search abroad for jobs? Should the schools and government offer training programs to help people find employment abroad? The MicSem forum discussion is back with a new topic.
