Commissioner Savua said that the information contained in the reports is inaccurate and even lashed out at a reporter during a media briefing.

According to the report, which was broadcast on Sunday morning, police had confirmed the number of illegal Asian immigrants in the country.

A reporter with the radio station responsible for the broadcast said on Sunday that they had received the statistics and a confirmation from the Criminal Investigation Department before they ran the story. However, Commissioner Savua remains adamant that the report was incorrect and misleading.
