AIR NIUGINI HEADS FOR TOKYO IN APRIL

PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (November 18, 2001 – NAU-FM/PINA Nius Online)---Air Niugini will start operating flights from Port Moresby to Tokyo's Narita International Airport beginning in mid April, Tourism Promotion Authority acting chief Erigere Singin announced.

She said the airline's service to the capital city of Japan will contribute to PNG’s further development, with more visitors to Papua New Guinea from Asia creating additional jobs in the local tourist industry.

The new service also will contribute to mutual understanding between Papua New Guinea’s and other cultures, she said.
