SUVA, Fiji Islands (November 22, 2001 – Daily Post/FijiLive)---Sex is being offered for sale in the capital city by what could be Fiji's first massage parlor.

A Daily Post investigative team confirmed this yesterday after sending a woman and a man separately to ask for massages.

The Daily Post has been pursuing the story for the past three months following a tip-off.

The parlor advertises its massage services in the newspapers and is understood to have had numerous responses. The massages cost F$ 20 (US$ 8.75) per person per hour.

A visit by the Daily Post investigative team yesterday found the operator, a person named Rakesh, offering the woman sexual release.

While massaging the woman, Rakesh had asked her if she was interested in having more than a massage.

The woman asked Rakesh to explain what he meant and had been told that she could also have sex.

He said charges ranged from F$100 to F$150 (US$ 43.87 – US$ 65.81) per hour and depended on the services he had to perform.

This included group sex.

The man asked her if she wanted him to take his clothes off while massaging.

Rakesh had offered the woman sex with condoms or without them.

The man who had been sent by the Daily Post said he was allowed to choose his women and was offered sex too.

The women did not have any clothes on while massaging.

Women of all races were involved, but Rakesh was the only man giving massages.

He told the Daily Post his women clients were mostly rich bored housewives, divorcees and some were from overseas.

Two of the women giving massages were students at the University of the South Pacific.

The massage parlor formerly operated from a building in downtown Suva but has since moved.
