PAGO PAGO, American Samoa (January 2, 2002 – Radio Australia)---Samoa Air is down to one Twin Otter aircraft after its second plane developed mechanical problems and was grounded last week.

The problem couldn't have come at a worse time, with flights fully booked for Apia in neighboring Samoa and the airline trying to play "catch up" with cancelled flights earlier in the week because of bad weather.

Samoa Air's marketing Manager Jason Pritchard said that flight times for the one aircraft have been extended from 6 a.m. to 4 a.m. to accommodate passenger demand.
