NUKU‘ALOFA, Tonga (March 20, 2002 - Niue Economic Review/PINA Nius Online)---A group of five Niue businesspersons and two government officials are attending this week's Tonga Trade Fair in Nuku‘alofa.

Spokesperson Marie Hunuki, of the Niue Development Bank, said the businesses were hoping to gain regional exposure.

They represent businesses involved in T-shirt screen printing, weavers, carvers, jewelry makers and other handicraft artists.

"This is the first time we have participated in a trade show and next year we hope to have a lot more businesses displaying their goods and promoting their businesses," said Mrs. Hunuki.
