PORT VILA, Vanuatu (March 22, 2002 – Radio Australia)---Health officials in Vanuatu are completing work on a nationwide anti-measles campaign that is scheduled to get under way in May.

Coordinator of the immunization program, Leonard Tabilip, said the campaign will attempt to completely eradicate the disease in the country.

A similar campaign was carried out in 1998, but was not entirely successful.

Measles mostly affects children between the ages of nine months and five years.
