AIR TAHITI NUI LAUNCHES FLIGHTS TO PARIS FROM PAPE‘ETE

PAPE‘ETE, Tahiti, French Polynesia (May 7, 2002 – Tahitipresse)---Air Tahiti Nui launched its first flight to Paris on Sunday.

Air Tahiti Nui chairman Nelson Levy said, "This first flight comes after eight months of difficult negotiations for landing rights in Paris.

"Adding France to our destinations is a good commercial opportunity for us and our customers."

This first commercial flight carried 210 passengers to Paris.

During his stay in France, Nelson Levy met several European tour operators to promote Tahiti and Her Islands.

Air Tahiti Nui officials also celebrated on Tuesday, at Charles de Gaulle Airport, the first Paris-Pape‘ete flight via Los Angeles.

This time, the Air Tahiti Nui Airbus carried 171 passengers.

Air Tahiti Nui now has two weekly flights to Paris, with a third flight to be added on June 28 and continuing until October.
