ZONE MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATION FUNDS 

Congressman Faleomavaega announced today that American Samoa has been awarded $1,037,000 from the Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The funds are awarded under the Coastal Management Administration Program administered by NOAA. 

"I am very pleased that the federal government continues to support our territory's federally approved coastal zone management program," Congressman Faleomavaega said. "The funds are intended for program administration and implementation, coordination of territorial and federal agency programs, public outreach, special projects and implementation of the Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Control Program." 

"As a member of the House Committee on Resources, and Subcommittee on Fisheries Conservation, Wildlife and Oceans that has jurisdiction over coastal issues, I will continue to support future legislation in the House that will provide for the purpose of improving of our coastal areas," Faleomavaega said.
